Participle Phrase
Using Participle (Verb+ing), the subject is followed by a comma.
For Examples:
1. Opening the door, the handle was broken. (Incorrect)
Opening the door, he broke the handle. (Correct)
2. Taking a hockey stick, he goes to college. ( correct)
3. Opening the book, the lesson was learnt. (Incorrect)
Opening the book, he learnt the lesson. (Correct )
4. Sitting on the grass, a snake bit him. (Incorrect)
Change the following sentences to make sense.

Note. Sometimes, you have to change the voice ( change into active or active into passive) to make the sense of the sentence.

Today when I started my class I saw some colourful packs of sweets that my students had brought for all of the teachers to celebrate their results of the Secondary School Examination.
