Present Indefinite Tense -Tense Chart for English Part I

                                                         PRESNT TENSE 

                        1۔ PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE

Subject + Verb 1st + s/es + Object

تا ہے ، تی ہے ، تا ہوں وغیرہ

He/she/it/singular noun + Verb1st + s/es + Object

I/we/they/you/plural noun + Verb1st + s/es + Object

Adverbs: 

daily, every day, usually, never, always etc.

Examples:

1. He writes poems.

2. He does not write poems.

3. Does he write poems?

4. Does he not write poems?

5. Why do you make a noise?


2۔ PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Subject + is/are/am + (Verb 1st+ing) + Object

رہا ہے ، رہی ہے ، رہیں ہیں  وغیرہ

He/she/it/singular noun + is+ (Verb 1st+ing) + Object

We/they/you/plural noun + are+ (Verb 1st+ing) + Object

I + am + (Verb 1st+ing) + Object

Adverbs: 

now , at this moment, at present, etc.

Examples:

1. He is writing poems.

2. He is not writing poems.

3. Is he writing poems?

4. Is he not writing poems?

5. Why are you making a noise?


3۔ PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

Subject + has/have + (Verb 3rd) + Object

چکا ہے ، چکی ہے ،چکے ہیں  وغیرہ

He/she/it/singular noun + has+ (Verb 3rd) + Object

I/We/they/you/plural noun + have + (Verb 3rd)  + Object

Adverbs: 

till now , so far , yet , already  etc.

Examples:

1. He has already written many poems.

2. He has not written many poems already.

3. Has he written many poems till now?

4. Has he not written poems so far?

5. Why have you made a noise?


4۔ PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Subject + has/have + been (Verb 1st +ing) + Object

 سےرہا ہے ، سے رہی ہے ، سے رہیں ہیں  وغیرہ

He/she/it/singular noun + has been + (Verb+ing) + Object

I/We/they/you/plural noun + have been + (Verb+ing)  + Object

Adverbs: 

since , for 

Examples:

1. He has been writing poems for many years.

2. He has not been writing poems since morning.

3. Has he been many poems for two years?

4. Has he not been writing poems since March?

5. Why have you been making a noise for ten minutes?

     Today when I started my class I saw some colourful packs of sweets that my students had brought for all of the teachers to celebrate their results of the Secondary School Examination. First I called the roll-call and then I asked about their results. Everybody was so happy and eager to tell her marks. It was really surprising to hear that two or three of them had scored 100% marks i.e 1100 out of 1100. It was really surprising and I was really stunned to hear such outstanding marks in my whole career.  Students did appear in 9th grade/class, too. The marks will be calculated on the basis of the examination of the 10th class. Actually, due to the corona pandemic, the government announced that the students would appear only science subjects- Math, Chemistry, Physics, Biology - this year. The total marks of these subjects are equal to 600 including the marks of practicals. (there conducted no practicals also). And the rest of the marks were related to Arts subject...
