 حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اللہ کے آخری نبی تھے۔  آپ (ص) مکہ مکرمہ میں پیدا ہوئے۔  اس زمانے میں عرب بت پرست تھے۔  پورا معاشرہ مختلف برائیوں میں مبتلا تھا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نہایت پاکیزہ زندگی گزاری۔  آپ نے چالیس سال کی عمر میں تبلیغ اسلام شروع کی۔  عرب اس کے خلاف ہو گئے اور اسے کئی طرح سے اذیتیں دیں۔  اس نے تمام مشکلات برداشت کیں۔  کچھ لوگوں نے اسلام قبول کیا۔  ان میں سے زیادہ تر غریب تھے۔
